Breede River Hospice also pays a key role in preventative healthcare. In partnership with the Department of Health we manage a group of Community Health Care workers who go on daily visits to houses in the communities, to take care of the following:
- TB screening
- HIV Screening
- Mental Health Assessments
- Antenatal screening, advice and education
- New born baby checks – immunisation, growth and developmental screening and monitoring
- Chronic patient checks – correct use of medication
